Do I need an International Driving Permit in Cyprus?
Non-EU driving licences require an International Driving Permit (IDP) to rent and drive in Cyprus. EU, UK, and EEA licences are accepted without an IDP. IDPs can be obtained from your country's automobile association before travel.
Which side of the road do cars drive in Cyprus?
Cyprus drives on the left side of the road — a legacy of British rule. If you are from a country that drives on the right, take extra care at roundabouts and when turning.

What is the minimum age to rent a car?
Drivers must be aged 23–70 with a valid driving licence held for at least 3 years. EU licences are accepted; non-EU licences require an International Driving Permit. Drivers under 23 incur a surcharge of €25/day and a non-waivable fixed excess of €1,500.
